2018 Cycle Oregon Classic

The Cycle Oregon Classic starts September 8th. Roughly 2000 riders will cycle 380 to 450 miles in 7 days, camping out each night. A crew will supply support throughout the trip including breakfast and dinner at each campsite. The route is in Northeast Oregon starting in Baker City going through the Wallowa mountains and then west to Pendleton back to Baker City. It will be a beautiful route. The Wallowa mountains are called “the Oregon Alps”, and Pendleton is among rolling grasslands and farms.

I will try to post a journal entry each day with the route and ride data displayed in “Ride with GPS”. The post will also contain photographs from the day’s route and camp life. This will be my first trip without a laptop, using only my cell phone to collect and publish information. Cell service is also limited, so we will see how this works given the limitations. Take a look using the Journal tab.
